🎓 Foundation Courses – Your First Step to an International Degree

Prepare. Progress. Prosper. With AbroadEdx.

At AbroadEdx, we understand that not every student may meet the entry requirements for direct undergraduate degrees abroad — and that’s completely okay! That’s why Foundation Courses exist: to help you build the academic, language, and cultural skills you need to start your international education journey with confidence.
Whether you’re aiming for top universities in the UK, Australia, Canada, or Europe, a foundation course can set you on the right path — and AbroadEdx is here to guide you every step of the way

📘 What is a Foundation Course (International Year Zero)?

Foundation courses, also known as International Year Zero (IYZ), are one-year preparatory programs designed for international students who :

  • Have completed 12 years of school (e.g., CBSE, ICSE, or state board).
  • Do not yet meet the academic or English language requirements for direct undergraduate entry.
  • Want to adapt to the education style and academic expectations of universities abroad.

These courses are offered by trusted pathway providers and universities and typically lead to automatic progression into a bachelor’s degree upon successful completion.

🎯 Who Should Consider a Foundation Course?

Foundation programs are ideal for :

  • Students with average or below-average marks in 12th grade.
  • Students who studied in a non-English curriculum.
  • Those needing to improve their IELTS/PTE scores.
  • Students switching academic streams (e.g., from Science to Business).
